Welcome to The Nathan Seaward Show, In November 2016, I was compelled to launch the podcast after hearing a troubling report by Unicef. New Zealand has by far the highest youth suicide rate in the developed world. The rate of 15.6 suicides per 100,000 people is twice as high as the US rate and almost five times that of Britain. And, almost 2/3 of all suicide’s are men. The same message kept ringing repeatedly in my head; those men felt isolated and unable to to ask for help.
Our mission is to end male suicide in New Zealand and create an environment where men are happy and fully self-expressed.
Every Wednesday, I have deep, vulnerable and unedited conversations with men who have overcome adversity to thrive in their business and their lives. It’s revealing and inspiring. The people listening get the opportunity to listen in to a deep conversation between two men that they might not hear in their own lives.
